World School
Worldschooling is an educational approach that merges homeschooling with travel, using the world as the classroom to learn through direct experience, cultural immersion, and exploration. It prioritizes experiential learning over traditional, desk-based education, often blending curriculum-based study with subjects like history, geography, and language learned through travel.
T&S provides for World Schoolers from time to time - as they pass through. We can provide resources and experiences that they would not find elsewhere. Many World Schoolers converge on a venue to meet up and do activities while camping or staying locally. We have a large campsite and access to local activity centre accommodation to facilitate this.
T&S Has long sought to connect internationally and regularly attends conferences with IDEC (IDEC (International Democratic Education Conference) is an annual global gathering focused on democratic education, self-directed learning, and school innovation,)
We see enormous potential for collaboration across continents to explore cultures and lifestyles. From a Design point of view this is very interesting as there exists the technology now in CAD CAM and files sharing to collaborate in ways that were not possible a decade ago.
